April Fools Day 2025 on SCG was the debut of the "Taste the Rainbow Mother Fluffer" scenario on Rainbow. The scenario was announced via an event posted on Discord simply titled "???".

Effects¶

• The server's title was changed to "{SCG} Taste the Rainbow Mother Fluffer | Furry (18+)"
• The map vote was disabled, and instead maps were randomly chosen
• The map rotation was changed to a list of virtually every map SCG has collected in the past 15 years. With the exception of MvM, VSH, and a few unsupported game mode maps. In total, there were 978 possible maps.

Bugs¶

• The map never switched naturally, due to a problem with the random cycle and the lack of a proper map vote. Because of the temporary nature of the scenario, the map was changed purely by RTV. Either naturally, or admin override.

*The map had a lighting error that forced mat_fullbright, a cheat cvar, to 1 on assorted clients. All clients affected were banned by STAC. Rowdy (she was banned in the process) quickly removed the bans and restarted the server.

Results¶

Because of their popularity during the event, ctf_monkeynaut_b5 and rd_crypt_b3a were considered for full rotation. Additonally, the scenario itself was fun enough that it will be revisted in future events.
